From Wantrepreneur to Entrepreneur

Hi, where you just strolling by,or you just stumble upon this blog ?Good! take a few minutes to read my story.

Before, let me introduce my self to you.

I am nuttens robin a Wantrepreneur. You might be wondering now what means wantrepreneur? The word wantrepreneur first scratched my ears when the shark tank mogul and billionaire Mark Cuban coined  the term characterizing a pitcher before him. I was wondering about the meaning of the term, so i did some research. 

Before i give you a definition let me share with you my story "why i am a wantrepreneur?".

It began when i was 9 years old, "I said, when i grow older, i will have my own company".  Fast forward 18 years later, precisely in 2008 , i was still waiting on that dream to manifest. I kept just dreaming that one day i will be a business owner without taking any actual action towards that. I kept wanting to become an entrepreneur. We are now in 2015. i am still dreaming but this time it is a different dream. My 2015 dream is followed with action. For me  2015 is the year of action. It might sound like a new year resolution but it is not the kind that you stop after three months. 

                                               

Are you an entrepreneur or wantrepreneur? I kept asking my self. this quote said it all to me:

“Real entrepreneurs make it happen. Wannabes make excuses.”

I have been making excuses all this while waiting for the Ahaha moment, searching for the perfect light over my head. I was waiting for all the road lights to be green before i start my engine. I was letting my inner voice telling me it is not the perfect idea, you can't do it and a lot of other reasons. I was letting fear and failure guide me rather than my passion.

How do entrepreneurs handle fear i asked! 

"Real entrepreneurs embrace and learn from failure, wantrepreneurs are defeated by it".

I am now embracing my fears and learning from my obstacles and failures. I know a lot of people out there are like me, sitting around and just hoping for things to change without  taking any actions. To those i say join me in this quest to change from a wantrepreneurs to waentrepreneurs.
